Japanese-American National Museum

100 North Central Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012, USA

About the company:

The Japanese-American National Museum opened in 1992. The idea of its creation belongs to Bruce Kaji. Bruce collected the entire collection of the museum with the help of other well-known Japanese Americans. The museum is located in the Japanese quarter of Los Angeles, California.

It is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Japanese Americans.

The museum was originally housed in a Buddhist temple building, but in January 1999 a new pavilion of almost 8,000 square meters was opened for the museum.

There are exhibits covering more than 130 years of Japanese-American history related to textiles, art, photography, films, Japanese products and ikebanas. Every year, the museum presents a variety of exhibitions and cultural events involving famous actors and stars, most of whom are Japanese-Americans.
