Historical and architectural monument "Railroad cottage"
625 S Casino Center Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89101, United States
Description:
In Las Vegas, there are many interesting places and attractions, not only newfangled, but also of historical significance. One such historical attraction is the cottage house, which was built around 1900. At that time, 64 cottages were built here in the desert, which were intended for railway workers.
These houses were built in three different styles, each with either 3 or 2 bedrooms, a hall, a kitchen and a bathroom. The total area of each such cottage was from 70 to 75 square meters. At the moment, only 1 such house has survived, its number 629, it is surrounded by a low white fence, and small well-groomed shrubs grow on the site. All the other cottages were destroyed and removed from the area, so now there is a huge wasteland. The remaining house is included in the list of protected attractions.
