Mob Museum
300 E Stewart Ave, Las Vegas, NV, USA
About the company:
The idea of creating the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement belongs to the former mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman. The idea of building such a museum came to his mind in 2002. The budget for the entire project was $50 million, and another $26 million was spent on the reconstruction of the former post office, which became the museum building.
The museum opened on February 14, 2012. The tour of the building starts from the third floor and goes down two more. The museum presents many photos, texts and practical exhibits. Here, each visitor will be introduced to the history of organized crime, various methods of “doing” business. It is also possible to sit in the electric chair and shoot from a machine gun.
