From its observation deck we will enjoy the best view of the city and its surroundings. Walking along the favorite tourist street State and the famous pier Stearns, we climb the mountains and find ourselves in the valley of Santa Ines. The valley is replete with vineyards and wineries, we are waiting to visit some of them and tasting fine wines. The next stop along our route will be the town of Solvang with a population of only about 5,000 people. It was founded in the early XX century by a group of Danes who traveled around the country in search of a milder and more comfortable climate for life. From this city is often called “little Denmark”, especially since most of the buildings here are made in the Danish style, and on its narrow streets there are all sorts of Danish shops.

It is after leaving the city of San Simeon that the most picturesque section of road No. 1 begins, called Big Sur or Big South. We will stop in the most stunning places of the highway, offering incredible views of the vast ocean and mountain ranges. We will be in the former capital of California, Monterey. Walk along the street called "Canned row": it once housed a huge number of canneries.
