Los Angeles

Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks. MUST VISIT!

Description:

If you are planning to go on a trip to California, then you are incredibly lucky because you have the opportunity not only to get acquainted with the cities of this sunny state, but also the best national parks in the United States. In other words, you can combine the pleasant with the useful – explore the city sights and relax in the lap of nature. Most of our tourists prefer to book tours to Yosemite and Sequoia parks. Both nature reserves are famous for their landscapes and nature: impressive granite rocks, waterfalls with clean water, groves of sequoiadendrons and rich biodiversity. I recommend you to go on a two-day trip inland California, to its most picturesque and unique places.

FIRST DAY: Morning departure from Los Angeles - visit Yosemite Park - a stop for the night in the city of Fresno

Yosemite is a place to visit many times, and each time it will be interesting and new. The park will not leave you indifferent! People usually come here to contemplate mountains and waterfalls: granite rocks rise above the valleys, from which waterfalls fall down with huge streams of water, mountain peaks are seen covered with snow, and carpets of beautiful flowers decorate the expanses of the landscape. Walking along the trodden paths, you can meet deer and chipmunks.

The valley got its name from the habitat of grizzly bears: once, when there was a famine, the young chief Tenaya killed a huge bear - and thus saved his tribe from starvation. And the new name of the leader, Yosemite, which means “Big Grizzly Bear”, went down in history.

After exploring the valley you will go to the town of Fresno for the night.

DAY TWO: Visiting Sequoia Park – Departure to San Francisco

The reserve will give you an amazing opportunity to see giant sequoias in the grove of Mariposa, the largest trees on Earth. One of them is the General Sherman Tree. Usually giant sequoias reach 100 meters in height, in diameter - up to 11 meters, and today grow only in California. The average lifespan of this huge living organism is 4,000 years. The bark of the trees is thick, fibrous, not amenable to combustion. When touched, the palm seems to sink into a tree, creating unusual sensations. In addition, there are a number of attractions in the park. The most popular of them is the Tunnel Log, a small car tunnel cut right in the middle of a giant redwood that fell on the road.

After visiting the park, you will go to San Francisco.
