Excursion San Diego + Sea World Park in Los Angeles

It is interesting that Americans do not consider New York, not Los Angeles, but San Diego the best city to live in the United States, most of them dream of spending a quiet old age in it and even call it “an unknown paradise”. I’ve lived here for a couple of years and I understand why it’s such an idyllic place. I suggest you to discover this Pacific pearl and understand what attracts millions of tourists every year.

During our trip, we will visit the La Jolla area located on the Pacific coast and its main street “Prospect”, full of luxury hotels, fashionable boutiques, the best restaurants and art galleries. It is often compared to the famous Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. It is noteworthy that this area is known not only for the charms of the central street, but also for its almost protected territory. You will see seals soaking in the sun and pelicans floating freely above them. Among other things, there is a memorial to the veterans of San Diego, at the head of which stands a nine-meter white cross.

In Downtown, the historic center of San Diego, we will not miss the Gas Lantern District, known for its theaters, music halls and buildings executed in the Victorian style. You will not leave indifferent a trip to the Maritime Museum, distinguished by its incredible exhibits: the Soviet submarine, the sailing ship "Star of India" and the aircraft carrier Midway. By the way, the statue depicting the kiss of a sailor and a nurse "Unconditional surrender" is located here. And the famous and beloved for generations, the film “Only Girls In Jazz” was shot in a hotel in San Diego, on the Coronado Peninsula, and we will not miss it either.

Balboa Park is the heart of this city! More reminiscent of an ancient Spanish city, it was built specifically for the exhibition Panama Pacific, dedicated to the completion of the Panama Canal. You will certainly appreciate its beauty by strolling through its marvelous shady terraces, themed gardens!

At the end of our tour, we will visit the SeaWorld Marine Animal Park. It was founded in 1964, and a beautiful bay was chosen for its location. "Sea World" - a theme park dedicated to the inhabitants of the sea depths, also has many entertainment programs and attractions. And in the huge central water stadium you can enjoy a unique show with the participation of killer whales.
