Cabrillo Beach

3720 Stephen M White Dr, San Pedro, CA 90731, United States

Description:

One of the many natural attractions of Los Angeles is Cabrillo Beach, located in the San Pedro area. It was named after Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, the Portuguese explorer who first made it to the California coast.

Cabrillo Beach is divided into two separate zones. The western part is focused on quiet relaxation, and the southern part is focused on active pastime. Often this place attracts those interested in active sports such as windsurfing, kayaking and diving. Among the athletes, the beach was called the "Vinder Gorge", which is associated with unpredictable strong gusts of wind. The infrastructure of Cabrillo is developed at an average level, there are no noisy restaurants, clubs and bars. In windless weather, umbrellas and sun loungers are installed on the beach.

Not far from here is a beautiful park, delighting tourists with an abundance of greenery. There are gazebos and squares, so that after relaxing on the beach you can move into the shade, under the branches of broad-leaf palm trees. Near Cabrillo beach there are two attractions – the Cabrillo Bath and the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium.
