5942-5948 Pacific Coast Hwy, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019, United States

Description:

Gray Whale Cove Beach is located in California State Park, at the junction of Pacifica and Montara, California. Its name literally translates as Grey Whale Beach. It is located in a quiet, wind-protected bay surrounded by steep banks. The beach was officially opened in 1966.

This place attracts tourists from all over the world due to the warm fine sand and crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. Here it is always quiet and calm, waves are extremely rare, and then small. The beach of Gray Whale Cove is a real paradise, here you can forget about everyday problems and reconnect with nature. Local landscapes occupy places on the covers of guides around the state of California, as they have a charming beauty.

The infrastructure of the beach is not developed. Here you will not find noisy restaurants and clubs, and it is not surprising, because otherwise it would not be possible to preserve the virgin nature. If you decide to visit these places, it is best to go in the morning or after lunch, when the sun is not so hot. Do not forget to bring the most necessary – water and food.
