Description:
One of the most beautiful sports arenas in Los Angeles is the Angel Baseball Stadium, built between 1964 and 1966. Originally called Anaheim Stadium, it had a capacity of 43,250 seats. The first game took place on April 19, 1966, and was a large-scale event involving players from the world-renowned Chicago White Sox baseball team.
In the late 1970s, the stadium’s capacity was expanded to 65,000 seats. Since 1995, football games have been held at Angel Stadium. In October 1996, it was restored, about 100 million US dollars were allocated for repairs. As a result, the stadium’s capacity was reduced to 45,000 spectators.
In 1997, the name of the stadium was changed to Edison International Field of Anaheim, and in 2003 it was renamed Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Currently, this place is very popular with residents and visitors of Los Angeles.
