84 Berth, San Pedro, CA 90731, USA

About the company:

The Los Angeles Maritime Museum is located on the Harbor Canal, in the suburbs of San Pedro. This is a non-profit museum that opened in 1980 on the site of the municipal ferry terminal, which was closed due to the opening of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in 1963. The museum was opened through community efforts and is now owned by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. The museum was designed by modernist architect James Pullem.

The museum exhibits items related to the history of the US Navy. There are models of warships, models with installation of their battles and miniatures of the fishing industry of the region. On the second floor of the museum there are models of merchant ships, sailboats and amateur radio stations.

Also in the museum is a model of the famous tug of the Angel Gate, whose purpose was to serve combat ships during the Second World War.
