Heritage Square Museum

3800 Homer Street, Los Angeles, CA 90031

About the company:

Heritage Square is an open-air museum of history and architecture located near the Arroyo Seco Highway in Los Angeles. The main idea of the museum is an interpretation of the period from 1850 to 1950 - the century of unprecedented growth of Los Angeles.

During the urbanization of the city, in the 1960s, many Victorian-style buildings were demolished in Los Angeles. Therefore, at the request of the Cultural Heritage Commission, in order to counteract the destruction of historically significant buildings of the city, it was decided to create an open-air museum where historical buildings would be moved.

At the moment, the museum has restored and erected 8 historical buildings, as well as many rare cars. The most famous buildings are the Palms depot, John Ford House, Lincoln Church, and a house called the “Salt Box”.
