Las Vegas - Calico - Los Angeles
Departure from the hotel in Las Vegas, arrival in the ghost town of Calico in 2 hours. This place has a rich history that began in 1881. Calico is a village of miners who were attracted here by rich opportunities for the extraction of silver and borax. During its existence in Calico, $86 million of silver and $45 million of borax were mined. The city had a hard time when silver prices fell in 1980, but it survived by selling borax. Over time, this source of income dried up, and the city finally died in 1907.
