Amelia Earhart Park

401 E 65th St, Hialeah, FL 33014, USA

Description:

Amelia Earhart Park is an urban park in Miami, Florida, which covers an area of 208 hectares. The park is notable for specially designed mountain bike routes of varying complexity. In addition, there are well-equipped places for roller boards and skates. For amateur fishermen, special moorings have been created on the lakes and streams of the park.

The park was opened in 1926, and in October 1947 was named after the famous aviator Amelia Earhart, whose plane went missing in 1937.

The park has a demonstration estate of the first settlers Bill Graham Farm Village, where visitors can watch milking cows, shearing sheep, meet a blacksmith and watch him shoe a horse. Here you can see presses for sugar cane and other agricultural tools. Nearby there is a souvenir shop and a small children's zoo where you can ride a pony.

Amelia Earhart Park hosts both novice riders and experienced mountain cyclists. The cycling routes of the park, with a total length of 13 kilometers, have a large number of climbs, descents and complex slopes.
