South Pointe Park

Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA

Description:

South Point Park in Miami is spread over an area of about 7 hectares. Pleasant green landscape areas, wide limestone paths and a beautiful panoramic view of the Bay of Biscay attract tourists and locals. The park was first opened to visitors in 1985, but became especially popular after restoration in 2009, when natural sand dunes covered with grass were restored and many playgrounds for children were made.

On green lawns you can get a job with the whole family, play various games, ride a bicycle or admire the azure waters of the ocean. There are many restaurants in the park, in some of them you can listen to live music. There is a very good beach, clear open sea and a beautiful view of the shipping channel of the Port of Miami, through which large cruise ships sail.

At night, the park is especially beautiful when 18 unique light towers are lit and pedestrian paths are illuminated. The colorful glow of the towers creates a fabulous impression of a magical country. The park has two entrances: one on Washington Avenue and a new pedestrian entrance on Ocean Drive. Not far from the park are the Art Deco area and the villa of fashion designer Gianni Versace.
