Solomon Guggenheim Museum
Description:
Founded in 1937, the Solomon Guggenheim Museum is one of the world’s best collections of modernism, housed in a unique structure created by the genius of twentieth-century architecture Frank Lloyd Wright.
Built in 1959, the building not only accommodates eight collections that formed the basis of this collection - an extensive selection of works by V. Kandinsky, numerous masterpieces of impressionism and post-impressionism, German expressionism, minimalism and post-minimalism, conceptual art, photography, etc., but also is the venue for controversial, sometimes scandalous exhibitions, classical and pop concerts, theater and opera productions. Belonging to a select circle of museum sponsors gives me and my guests the right to extraordinary visits to galleries, access to special exhibitions and events and substantial, up to 25% discounts in the museum store.
The museum is not open on Thursdays and public holidays. You can visit the National Design Museum, the New Gallery and other nearby museums. The guide license gives the right to extraordinary visits to most attractions - I will be happy to save you from unnecessary hassle and time wasted! Tourists are provided with individual radio systems with headphones.
