Description:
SoHo is an architectural gem of New York City, a state-protected historic quarter, famous for its unique collection of cast iron buildings, the early forerunners of steel skyscrapers. The tour introduces the past and present of this once industrial, then bohemian, now elite district, filled with art galleries and expensive “boutiques”. We will also visit the neighbouring areas of NoHo, NoLiT, TriBeKa and find out why they have such strange names. The tour can be complemented by a visit to Greenwich Village, Little Italy and other surrounding areas.
