The Gold Coast – The Palaces of Long Island

Description:

The North coast of Long Island is not in vain received the nickname "Golden Coast" - it was here in the late XIX - early XX centuries were the estates of rich and savvy New Yorkers. Of the approximately five hundred mansions, less than half have survived, about a dozen are open to visit.

We will have a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the “Gilded Age”, sung in the novels of Scott Fitzgerald, Edith Wharton, E. L. Doctorow and others, visit the habitats of presidents and “captains of industry”.

It is possible to participate in a theatrical performance, costumed tea party, etc. (by season).
