LaGuardia Airport
Description:
LaGuardia Airport, located in the coastal area of the town of Quinx, in northern New York, was built in 1939. It is operated by 20 airlines operating flights in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. About 1,000 takeoffs and landings are performed here every day, and more than 25 million people were transported in 2012.
Of the four runways, only two are currently functioning, built of asphalt and concrete, their length is about two kilometers. LaGuardia has four terminals at an angle of 45 degrees relative to each other. Terminals A, C and D are operated by Delta Air Lines, B is managed by the Airport Authority and is preparing for a full refurbishment scheduled to begin in 2014.
LaGuardia has three lounges, a room for passengers with children and several bars and restaurants where you can enjoy your flight. Not far from the airport are two hotels with cozy rooms for crew members and transit passengers, which can be reached by taxi and shuttle buses, admiring the picturesque landscape of Flushing Bay.
