Orlando International Airport
Description:
Orlando International Airport is the largest airport in the state of Florida, equipped with modern passenger service systems, as well as having two halls of enhanced comfort.
Orlando International Airport is one of the main airports of the United States of America and is located ten kilometers from downtown Orlando. Four passenger terminals of the airport are connected by the ground monorail "Airside" four exits for landing. The fifth terminal was planned to accept only international traffic, but its construction was postponed immediately after September 11, 2001. However, these plans will continue to be reviewed by the airport as soon as passenger traffic exceeds the terminal’s current capacity.
In terms of passenger traffic on international routes, Orlando Airport is on the 15th place among US airports, and on the third among Florida airports, behind two international airports, which are located in Hollywood.
Orlando International Airport was one of the first airports in the world to land an Airbus A380.
For the convenience of passengers and visitors, in October 2006, the Cell Phone Parking system was launched at the airport, which allows drivers of cars in the airport parking lot and waiting for passengers to arrive to use free Wi-Fi services. The system has a service that includes tracking the status of the expected flight.
