Muir Woods + Napa Valley
Description:
Our journey will begin with a picturesque place, the world of evergreen Redwoods - Muir Woods National Nature Reserve.
At the beginning of the development of San Francisco, during the so-called “gold rush”, it turned out that red shorewood, or sequoia, can act as a good building material. In the early twentieth century, one of the local businessmen William Kent, in his quest to preserve this natural wealth, bought a plot of land of 295 acres and gave it to the state. Three years later, Theodore Roosevelt gave the territory the status of a National Monument of Nature. And the name of the park owes to the famous fighter for environmental protection John Muir: so bequeathed himself William Kent.
Then we head to the Napa River valley, known for its amazing mild climate. When we talk about California wines, we talk about it, Napa Valley, because it is here that there are numerous vineyards and beautiful dry wine is produced. We definitely visit several wineries and taste different wine varieties, cheeses and pate.
