Seattle

Sightseeing tour of Seattle

Description:

We suggest you go to Seattle - a port city on the northern coast of the United States in Washington State. The city, which is called the most pleasant to live, ever green and the most educated. Seattle is a completely different America: quiet, calm, measured. At first glance, a very unremarkable city, but one of the most amazing corners of the United States. The unofficial name of Seattle is the Royal City.

While walking the streets, it seems too big for all the people who live in it. It is quiet and peaceful even in the middle of the skyscrapers. Seattle’s landmark is the Space Needle Tower. Without its cosmic silhouette, no photograph of the city is complete. Mount Rainier is his real decoration. Here you can even play snow in the summer, ski and just spend time with friends.

Pike Place Market

Our journey will begin with a visit to the Pike Place market, located on the waterfront. “Schuchy market”, as it is called by locals, is the hallmark of the city. It is the oldest bazaar on the continent, which opened its doors in August 1907. Pike Place is not just a market. This is a cult place where all travelers of the city aspire to visit. Boring, uninteresting or inexhaustible can not be called. And it's true that Pike Place seems to sell everything. Fish of all varieties and sizes, colors and aromas. Books, souvenirs, antiques, fresh farm products, handmade and goods of skilled craftsmen, all kinds of crafts and gifts. You will definitely like something here. Photo 2.

Space Needle Tower

Next, you will see another business card and a popular attraction in Seattle – the Space Needle Tower standing on three supports. The observation deck of the tower is located at an altitude of 160 m and offers its guests magnificent panoramic views of Seattle, the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Elliott Bay and the nearby islands. Chinatown

Seattle’s Chinatown is much more than just Chinese restaurants and shops. It is home to many companies run by Japanese, Koreans, Thais, Vietnamese and other Asians, making it a truly international neighborhood. The ethnic area is famous for its many exotic restaurants and grocery stores, acupuncturists and practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine. Photo 4.

Old town.

You will drive through the city center, capture its historic neighborhoods and look at old Seattle architecture of the early 20th century. Along the way, we will tell you how the city was built up and developed, what role the “gold rush” played in its fate. You will see Pioneers Square, feel the local flavor, drive along the most prestigious street in Seattle and plunge into the secrets of the old city. Photo 5.

The best panoramic sites

Seattle is surrounded by mountains and evergreen forests, so you will have the opportunity to see the city from the most beautiful angles! From the height of the observation deck on Queen Anne's Hill, a wonderful panorama of the city will spread in front of you, and from the side of Union Lake there will be an excellent view of the central part of Seattle. Fishing port and locks

After enjoying the views of the city, you will go to the embankment. Seattle has always been famous for its fishing, so we will definitely drive to the picturesque fishing port and the city’s waterfront with berths. And on the gateways of the Chittenden Canal, which connects the lakes of Seattle with the ocean bay, you will observe the process of locking ships. Photo 7.

Glass blowing workshop and park "Garden of waterfalls"

After visiting the glassblower workshop, we offer to relax in the park "Garden of Waterfalls", made in the Japanese style. Interest in Japanese garden culture began in Seattle in 1909. On the one hand, the erected “Garden of Waterfalls” is a tribute to the ancient traditions of the garden art of Japan, on the other – love and peace, enclosed in every stone, twig and blade of grass. You will experience this magic on yourself.
