Austin Art Museum

700 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701, United States

About the company:

The Austin Art Museum was established in 1961. Immediately after its creation, it presented art exhibitions and some educational programs to its visitors. Later, the management of the museum planned to move to the city center and already there to create an art center, but after unsuccessful attempts, it was decided to merge several separate museums into one, which soon appeared under the name of the Austin Art Museum.

Currently located in the city center, it is aimed at the general public. There are four to six exhibitions a year, the main themes of which are educational programs and contemporary art. The Art Museum itself conducts screenings, and also organizes visiting exhibitions. The purpose of the museum is to highlight the connection of virtual art forms with modern life.

In 2006, the so-called "family club" was launched. This project allows families to create their own works of art, which will then be presented in the museum.
