Abu Ali ibn Sino was an outstanding Persian physician, philosopher, poet. The famous scientist of the East, who lived 1000 years ago, and known as Avicenna, left behind a huge legacy in the field of medicine, astronomy of mathematics. The works of the scientist are highly appreciated - translated into the languages of many countries of the world.
In the center of the capital of Tajikistan - Dushanbe in 1980 (in honor of the 1000th anniversary of his birth) erected a monument to the famous scientist. At the foot of the monument beat water jets of a beautiful fountain.
The monument is located in the center of Dushanbe on Abu Ali ibn Sino Square.
