Pyanj River

Khatlon region, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Republic of Tajikistan

Description:

The river always attracts many tourists with its beauty and often changing conditions. Sometimes it can be seen in a calm form, at other times it is already in a seething form. It flows into the Amu Darya and, without reaching the sea, diverges in completely different directions. Its source is located at an altitude of about 2817 meters. The river flows between Afghanistan, located on the left bank, and Tajikistan. On a separate section of the valley there was a road, which helps to get to the river by car.
