Muboraki Wahoni House Museum

Muboraki Wahoni House-Museum is an amazing landmark in Tajikistan, named after its only owner, the outstanding thinker and philosopher Muboraki Wahoni (1842-1902), which is located in the village of Yamg, Jamoata Vrang. The place brings peace to everyone who came for it.

Here, surrounded by healing springs, a beautiful mountain river, a man was born, surprisingly gifted and educated, later became a famous thinker of our time. For his outstanding qualities, he was even called Leonardo da Vinci of Yamga. He was not only a philosopher and a poet, but also a musician, astronomer, master of various arts and crafts, as well as a connoisseur of religion and theologian.

His creative heritage is carefully preserved in his amazing house, which is a perfect example of a Pamiri house with excellent carved pillars and beams. His famous stone calendar can be seen here and with the help of which he accurately determined the day of the vernal equinox.
