About the company:

The National Museum of Tajikistan, located in Dushanbe, bears the name of the famous Persian miniaturist artist Kemaleddin Behzad. It was established in August 1934 by decree of the People's Commissariat of Tajikistan. In 1959 it was transformed into the republican united museum of fine and historical and local lore arts. In November 1999, the Tajik Museum named after K. Behzad received the status of national.

In 1934, there were only 530 exhibits, but now their number reaches 50,000. The museum has the following exposition departments: the department of medieval and ancient history, the department of antiquities, the department of modern and modern history, as well as the department of nature and fine arts.

Every year, research expeditions are conducted under the leadership of the National Museum of Tajikistan, as a result of which new artifacts are added to the local collections. The building of the museum deserves special attention, which carries great architectural value, being a representative of the classical Baroque.
