Tour to the Gates of Hell "Derweze"
Description:
In the morning, during a city tour, you will visit the National Historical Museum, the archaeological excavations of Old Nisa, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Then head to the Darvaza gas crater in the Karakum desert (270 km, 4 hours). Make camp. Enjoy delicious food cooked on fire for dinner. Overnight in tents.
Go to Ashgabat in the morning.
Start the day with a sightseeing tour of Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, which was recently noted by the Guinness Book of Records as having more white marble buildings than any other city in the world. A rich and interesting excursion also includes a stop in the stables / complex of the Akhal-Teke horse, the Neutrality Monument, the monument to the poet Makhtumkuli, the Ertugrul Gazi mosque, the newly built Independence Park and the Russian Bazaar with the Altyn Asyr shopping center.

After breakfast at 7:30, a trip to the ancient city of Merv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was a major center of international trade and crafts located on the Silk Road. Visit to the mausoleum of Hazrat Yusuf Hamadani, the mausoleum of Sultan Sanjar, Big and Small Gyz Gal, the fortress of Keshk and others. You will see a lot of camels in this place. Then after 15:00 crossing the border point Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan. Passing border formalities at both checkpoints. End of tour.
