According to the international classification, an elderly person is considered to be someone who has reached 65 years of age. There are currently 629 million of them in the world. That is, almost every tenth person on Earth.
These are people whose greatest wealth is experience, knowledge, skill, wisdom. Today’s “older people” are the last bearers of the classical culture of the boundary of the XIX-XX centuries, the time in which honor, upbringing, tolerance were paramount – those spiritual qualities thanks to which they adequately passed through all the horrors of totalitarianism, famines, repression and wars.
