World AIDS Day

A symbol of solidarity in the fight against AIDS and those infected with the virusUkraine is one of the first countries in Europe in terms of the spread of HIV infection. The number of Ukrainians living with HIV/AIDS reaches more than 100 thousand people, including more than 10 thousand children. Every day HIV infection affects about 40 citizens of the country, 8 - dies from AIDS.

The World Health Organization has recognized Ukraine as a leader in implementing measures to prevent this infection among newborns and its experience is recommended for implementation in other regions of Europe.

The implementation of the HIV/AIDS program is under the personal control of the President of Ukraine.
