All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural Workers and Amateurs of Folk Art

Description:

Ukrainian culture has taken a worthy place in the world culture
Culture is the space in which human life passes from birth to death. M.V. Popovich.

On March 23, the All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural Workers and Amateurs of Folk Art is celebrated in Ukraine. This date was established in March 2000 by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 484/2000, taking into account the significant contribution of cultural workers and amateurs to the revival of Ukrainian national culture, the development of folk art, active cultural educational activities.

Ukrainian culture, one of the few that managed to survive under the mighty onslaught of foreign aggressive influences, preserve its originality, pristine purity and undisturbedness.

The progenitors of Ukrainian culture, researchers prove, can be considered the culture of the Indo-European ancestors of the Slavs, Slavic cultural sources, the culture of Kievan Rus - pre-Christian and Christian.

Undoubtedly, the cultural development of peoples takes place in the process of their constant relationship. The more different influences the culture of a people accumulates in itself, the more cultured this people is.

Ukrainian culture has taken a worthy place in the world culture. It developed in relations with the cultures of the West and the East, in the system of the Polish-Lithuanian state, in the Ukrainian-phobic “lone” of tsarist Russia. The consequence of this was, on the one hand, the education system and scholarship, built on Western models, on the other - the humiliation of the Ukrainian language as a "popular" and, at the same time, the formation of new Ukrainian literature, written in this particular national language.

And this should be understood not as a paradox of history, but as a regularity of the internal strength of Ukrainian culture, which had a tangible impact on the construction of imperial culture, such as literature, science, painting and music.
At the same time, the influence of Russian culture on Ukrainian culture cannot be underestimated.

Ukrainian culture is also imbued with the Cossack unconquered national spirit of freedom and freedom.

It is impossible to ignore the phenomenon of “socialist culture”, because Ukraine during this period, despite all losses, including bloody ones, made a giant breakthrough in education, culture, science and technology.

After Ukraine gained independence, new priorities arose not only in politics, but also in culture. Representation of the state in this industry and its cultural development was to be carried out by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, which was created.

Now the Ministry of Culture has been reorganized into the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine, its tasks and responsibilities have been redefined.

In modern Ukrainian society, where culture is often unclaimed, it is important to choose and affirm high moral principles based on the millennial spiritual and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people, so as not to find themselves on the margins of cultural progress.

Modern Ukrainian culture is a very lazy space. Anatoly Ulyanov.
