Sofievka Park in Uman

Dendrological Park "Sofiyivka", which was founded in 1796, is famous far beyond the borders of Ukraine, and knows no equal in our country. For more than two hundred years, the imagination of visitors to the park has been amazed by the combination of the genius of technical thought and park art - all this is embodied in amazing waterfalls, fountains, underground rivers and grottoes that merge with the stunning beauty of natural landscapes.

All corners of the park are somehow connected with the myths and legends of Rome and Ancient Greece. The main entrance to the park is decorated with two watchtowers, whose crown was borrowed from the temple of the goddess of home fire and the hearth of Vesta. A shady alley along which the Kamenka River flows leads the visitor deep into the Sofievka.

After passing the smooth turn, the pavilion of Flora, the goddess of flowers and spring, will open to the eye. Through the white colonnade in the Doric style, the landscape of the Levkad rock opens, on which the observation deck "Belvedere" is visible.

Sofia Park is worth a visit at any time of the year, because it is always good: in winter silence, and in spring flowering, and in summer heat, and golden autumn coolness.
