Kaidak Bridge
Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk, Kaidak Bridge, Donetsk highway M-04
Description:
The Kaidak bridge in Dnepropetrovsk connects the right and left banks of the Dnieper. The bridge was built in 1982 according to the project of the Lengiprotrans Bridge Institute. The grand opening took place on November 10.
Initially, it was assumed that trams and cars would ride on the bridge. In addition, the bridge allowed transit motorists to follow the route Kiev - Donetsk without entering the city, and also opened the opportunity to develop residential construction on the left bank of the Dnieper.
The length of the bridge is 1732 meters and accommodates three lanes for traffic in both directions. In December 1996, the first tram was launched in the center of the bridge.
