In the thirties of the XX century, the park changed its name several times and in 1939 the park was named after the great pilot-hero Valery Chkalov. In 1992, the Chkalov Park was renamed the Cossack Lazar Globa Park.

Today, Lazarus Globa Park is a place where city festivities and various festive events take place. On the territory of the park there are attractions for children, a pond with swans, karting, a summer theater and a dolphinarium.
