Communard Square

Communard Square, also known popularly as the "Golden Ring", is a nodal interchange and the main problem place on the roads of the city. It is located at the intersection of three main urban areas - Artem and University streets, as well as Leninsky Prospect.

For a long time, the underground pedestrian crossing on Kommunarov Square remained a kind of highlight of the capital of Donetsk region, which could often be found in the city's guidebooks. The open central round part of the transition looked especially spectacular from the air. The construction of the huge Golden Ring shopping center over the underpass of this busy intersection only exacerbated the congestion problem.
