The basis of the exposition is the private collection of engineer Veniamin Razumov, who collected it almost all his life. The museum was later named after him.
In 1996, the museum was awarded state status. The museum holds about 9000 mini and microbooks, the maximum size of which does not exceed 10 centimeters. The smallest specimens are comparable to a poppy seed.
One of the pearls of the collection is a volume of two works by Alexander Pushkin, which is about 60 times smaller than the size of a poppy grain. Some exhibits of books date back to the XVIII and XIX centuries. There are also books that have been in space. There are unique books of the XVI century, brought from Ethiopia. In the museum there is a mini book made of birch bark. In addition to books, here you can look at miniatures located on horse and human hair.
