Sumy Street
Dzerzhinsky District, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Ukraine
Description:
Sumy street is one of the important streets of the city of Kharkiv. It connects the square of Soviet Ukraine and Dzerzhinsky Square, connecting the historical center with the administrative part of the city.
The street is located in the Dzerzhinsky district of Kharkov. From the square of Soviet Ukraine to Rymarskaya Street there are six-storey houses and the building of the State Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after T. G. Shevchenko. This fact attracts crowds of tourists and attracts city residents – the place is truly significant. Near Rymarskaya Street there is a garden named after T. G. Shevchenko.
It is noteworthy that the numbers of houses on the even (east) side of the street are shifted in relation to the numbers of the odd (west) side, which distinguishes the place from many others in the city.
The movement of any transport is currently limited along Sumy Street, since the section that connects the squares of Dzerzhinsky and Soviet Ukraine will later become a pedestrian crossing.
