About the company:

The Museum of Folk Art of Slobozhanshchina is a museum dedicated to the historical region in the northeast of modern Ukraine. Like different parts of Ukraine, this region has rich traditions and cultural life, carried through the centuries.

The museum was opened in 1992 in Kharkiv, and since 1994 it has become a branch of the art museum of the city.

In its collection, the museum has thousands of exhibits belonging to different historical epochs. Here you can see how people used to live, their way of life and traditions.

The project of the museum building was carried out by Academician A.N. Beketov for H.D. Alchevskaya, then Vice-President of the International Education League. It was here before the revolution that her Sunday school was located. The building was built in 1896.

Going into the museum, it seems that you find yourself in another time, immersed in the historical periods of the Sloboda region.
