Kamenetsk Town Hall
d. Kamenets-Podilsky, Polish Market St., 1
Description:
The town hall of Kamenets-Podilsky is a building where the city magistrate was previously located, and now it is an architectural monument of the XVI century. The town hall is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
The town hall was built at the beginning of the XVI century, but over the next centuries it was repeatedly rebuilt, as a result of which the building of the town hall represents the Renaissance style of the XIV century and the Baroque of the XIX century.
The town hall consists of a rectangular two-story building and a square eight-tiered tower, on which a mechanical clock was installed in 1884, which still works today. In the building of the town hall there are three museums - the Museum of Magdeburg Law, the Museum of the History of Money and the exposition "The Court in Medieval Kamenets".
You can also visit the cafe, with tables in arched niches in the walls of the town hall.
