Sightseeing walking tour of Kiev

This one of the most popular and interesting excursions will acquaint guests with the main attractions of Kiev.

The tour route begins from one of the most important cathedrals of Kiev - Vladimir Cathedral, the history of construction, miraculous relics and icons. You will hear this part of the tour.

We will walk along the longest poplar alley in the world and see the most famous educational institution in the country - T. G. Shevchenko University. We will visit the street of three theaters, admire the National Opera and Ballet Theatre - one of the most beautiful buildings in Kiev. We will see the "Golden Gate" - the main entrance to the capital of the ancient Russian state - Kievan Rus. This "Golden Gate", named after similar gates in Constantinople and Jerusalem, was built during the reign of Grand Duke Yaroslav the Wise (XI century). Further, our path leads to the main temple of Kievan Rus - the Cathedral of "Sophia" - "The Wisdom of God" (XI century), which keeps many secrets. We will visit Sofia and Mikhailovsky squares. And also visit the Mikhailovsky Golden-Domed Cathedral and you will learn some of the secrets of this monastery. We will visit the Vladimir Hill - the business card of Kiev. We will admire the monument to the Baptist of Russia - Grand Duke Vladimir and remember the words of Anna Akhmatova. Walk along the Andreevsky Descent - one of the most ancient and most mystical streets of Kiev. We will see the St. Andrew’s Church (XVIII century), built by the great architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli and you will hear the most romantic love story of the XVIII century. From the observation deck near the church, you can clearly see the panorama of Podol – the ancient commercial and industrial settlement of Kiev, which stretches from the foothills of Kiev to the Dnieper. The duration of the excursion is 3 (4) hours.
