Secrets of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is a monument of world importance (protected by UNESCO) and the center of Christianity of the Eastern Slavs. Unsurpassed architecture, unique caves, miracle-working icons and amazing world-incorruptible relics of holy Pechersk elders continue to attract millions of people here. Remaining the stronghold of the Orthodox faith, the lot of the Virgin, the Kiev Lavra was at all times called the “Second Jerusalem”.

TOUR PROGRAMME:

9.00-11.00 - Visit to the Upper Lavra (museum-reserve): the main Assumption Cathedral, an amazing necropolis of outstanding people (Stolypin, Yuri Dolgoruky, Count of Monte Cristo), a monument of architecture of K. Rus - Trinity Gate Church

11.00-14.00 - Visit the cave complex in the Lower Lavra, incorruptible and myrrhaging relics of the Pechersk righteous, miracle-working icons of the Lavra.

Here you will see an amazing healing myrrh, the relics of famous saints: Ilya Muromets (applied to his relics with pains of the musculoskeletal system), Agapit (the most famous Russian healer), Nestor-Letopist (the patron saint of all creative people), and you can also attach yourself to the famous miraculous Lavra icons.
