Dnieper Embankment
along the Dnieper from Post Square to the Paton Bridge (right bank)
Description:
The embankment of the Dnieper stretches along the river from Post Square to the most famous Paton Bridge in Kiev, on which you can walk. In the summer from the river station at the Post Square you can take a walk on the river tram.
The most popular bridge, the Metro Bridge goes from the metro station "Dnepr" and consists of two parts: the lower - automobile, the upper - for metro trains. Remarkably, the metro bridge is completely open. On it you can get directly to the Hydropark, a favorite resting place of Kievans. The underground station "Dnepr" is decorated with sculptures "Mir" and "Trud". Nearby is a monument to the founders of Kiev. Closer to the Paton Bridge is the Motherland statue.
On the steps of the embankment you can go down to the water itself. Along the entire embankment, local graffiti artists left their traces. A walk along the coast evokes a good mood, gives the opportunity to take great photos. From almost any point there is a wonderful view of the river and the city.
