Description:

Construction of the palace began in 1838 and lasted four years. In the same year, the Institute of Noble Maidens was opened in this building - an educational institution that gives the right to educate noble and merchant children.

After the revolution, the palace was occupied by the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR, and during the Great Patriotic War the building was destroyed.

The palace was literally rebuilt by everyone. In 1957, it became the October Palace of Culture - the cradle of talents.

Today, the International Center for Culture and Arts has a library containing 70,000 copies, it hosts meetings with famous figures of culture and politics, exhibitions are placed in the lobby.
