Santiago de Chile Square is located in the city of Kiev at the intersection of Marshal Malinowski Street and Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue.
Initially, since its inception in 1973, the square did not carry a special name, and only in 1998 the intersection of streets was named after the capital of Chile – Santiago de Chile.
The capital of Chile, in turn, is a sister city of Kiev, in confirmation of which and in honor of the strengthening of ties between the cities in 2001, a memorial stone was installed in the center of the square, which depicts the coat of arms and symbol of the city of Santiago de Chile.
