ooh Lavrska, 21, Kiev, Ukraine

Description:

The Trinity Gate Church of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is a very old building. The time of its construction is attributed to the 12th century - 1106-1108 years. It is located above the main gate to the Lavra (hence the name) and is an almost perfect square. The material for the construction was flat long bricks and stones. The building consists of several floors, in fact, the church hall is on the second floor.

The exterior decoration of the gate church was initially quite modest. But over time, it acquired the features of Ukrainian Baroque. The interior was complemented by picturesque frescoes, carved lime iconostasis, a special door, floor and chandelier.

The moderately strict and rather decorative view of the church is very decorated with the entrance to the Lavra. Inside, the church is divine. And her wall painting has important historical and artistic significance.
