Description:

Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kiev was built in 1991-1997 on the residential area of Troyeshchyna, where more than 380 thousand inhabitants live. In the XI-XIII centuries between Troyeshchyna and Vigurovshchina was a country house of Kiev princes, in the XVI-XVII centuries these lands were donated to monasteries. The village of Troyeshchyna belonged to the Holy Trinity Hospital Monastery at the Lavra, which is confirmed by the Charter of Peter I of October 16, 1720. In the inventory of 1781, it is said that there is a temple in Troyeshchyna.

The parish wooden church of St. George the Victorious was destroyed in 1962, and in the same year the Holy Trinity Church was built in the prayer house. And then the Holy Trinity Cathedral was built.

The cathedral is a three-chambered one. In the Seraphimian border are the relics and miraculous icon of the holy Monk Seraphim of Sarov. In the temple there is a unique iconostasis, made by Cherkasy cabinetry masters.

Under the cathedral, an underground temple is being built in the name of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica.
