Kiev River Station
Description:
The Kiev River Station, built in 1953-1961 by a group of architects, is located in the central part of the city. Its tower is like the mast of a sailing ship.
In Russia on the site of the river station was the pier, which functioned throughout the history of the city.
Arriving here, you can see the Monument to the sailors of the Dnieper military flotilla, located near the station and opened in 1976. It is a three-sided obelisk with the names of warships that distinguished themselves during the Civil and Second World Wars, surrounded by bronze figures of sailors.
