“Lviv Deruns” is a new cafe-bakery, opened in 2012 in the heart of Lviv. It is located on the historical market square, which is a real architectural reserve. The elegant facade of the building in which the bakery is located evokes the spirit of the Middle Ages. It is generously decorated with stucco details and relief images and harmoniously combines Renaissance and Romanesque style.
The interior of the institution is made in the spirit of an old bakery. The restored vaulted ceiling looks the same as it did a few centuries ago. The walls are decorated in warm terracotta tones, to become antique furniture. Lamps are decorated with wooden rollers, and lampshades of wall lamps are made of metal grooves.
Various pastries are prepared here, including traditional Lviv strudels and cheesecakes. The whole process of preparation can be observed through a showcase facing the square. Small souvenirs, including colorful aprons with recipes and hand machines for peeling apples, will long keep in mind pleasant impressions of visiting the Lviv Deruns.
