Pharmacy museum
Ukraine, Lviv, 79000, str. Drukarskaya, 2
About the company:
You can find this unusual museum on the Market Square, in the house on the corner, where Drukarskaya and Stavropegiyskaya streets begin. More than two hundred years ago, the military pharmacist Natorp founded a pharmacy here, on the sign of which was the inscription: "Under the black eagle."
Today, the exposition of the museum includes more than three thousand exhibits placed in 16 halls with a total area of 700 square meters. The first thing visitors see when entering the shopping hall is an antique pharmaceutical scale. The exposition of medical dishes continues in the second hall, which presents a collection of pharmacy equipment of different eras, dishes for storing medicines, as well as old patented medicines. In the third hall you can see the old pharmacy laboratory.
The exhibition does not end there. It continues the alchemical laboratory located in the wing, which was built at the turn of the XV and XVI centuries. It was recreated from ancient paintings and engravings. The wing also houses a library that holds over three thousand books.
