Monument to Gogol characters

On the shore of the pond with the intriguing name “Mirgorod puddle”, which is next to the Assumption Church on the central street. In 2009, a whole complex of sculptures, heroes of Gogol’s works was opened. The opening of the monument was timed to the bicentenary of the famous writer N.V. Gogol, born in Mirgorod.

At the head of the complex stands a three-meter monument to the writer himself, who glorified and immortalized the city in his immortal works. From the height of his height, he "watches" the heroes of his stories and stories that surround him from all sides.
