About the company:
The Archaeological Museum, opened in 1825, is the oldest museum not only of Odessa, but also of the whole Ukraine. And in front of it is a marble sculpture "Laocoon", which is a copy of the famous sculpture "Laocoon and his sons".
The collection of the museum has more than 160 thousand exhibits, among which there are rare gold and silver coins, jewelry from the Scythian and Sarmatian burial grounds and exhibits of ancient Greek colonies on the Black Sea, dating from the 6-1 centuries BC.
The sculpture "Laocoon" is Loacoon - the priest of the god Apollo, seized in a deadly battle with snakes. It was created by order of businessman Grigory Grigoryevich Marazli to decorate his dacha, and after the nationalization of the sculpture was moved to the museum building.
